On 16 December 2020, the whole music world commemorates the 250th birthday of the classical music icon – Ludwig van Beethoven. Not many know that Beethoven had some strong ties to present day Slovakia. Moreover, in November 1796, he supposedly held a concert in Bratislava, back then Pressburg. The local newspaper Pressburger Zeitung among all its reports from those days, however, does not mention the fact that Beethoven played a concert here.
