On 7th June, Slovak director of photography Igor Luther died in Croatia. Known for his collaboration with Oscar award winning Polish star director Andrzej Wajda, he is mainly known for his directing of photography for the Oscar winning film The Tin Drum by the German Volker Schloendorff. At the beginning of 2020, Igor Luther was granted one of the top state awards - Pribina Cross of 1st class - by Slovak president Zuzana Caputova.
