The Bratislava based Nová Scéna or the Slovak equivalent to the Broadway theatre has turned 70. It was created as a part of the Slovak National Theatre with a repertoire focused on musical comedies for the wider public back in 1946. Over the years, it has housed productions from many talented directors and actors. Since the 1990's, Nová scéna stages mainly grand musical productions. Its program, however, consists of blockbuster comedies.
