TheSlovak National Museum, in co-operation with the Brno City Museum, has opened an exhibition presenting one-off furniture design pieces from the first half of the last century, by a significant Czech designer of the 20th century. Jan Vaňek was the founder and the owner of the biggest furniture company in the former Czechoslovakia.The exposition includes also his most iconic piece, a white painted wooden massive bench designed by Mies Van Der Rohe for the Tugendhat villa in Brno, now a UNESCO cultural heritage sight. It's possible to see this and many more furniture products in Bratislava until April 2, 2017.
