The festival Author's reading month started in the eastern Slovak city of Kosice, July 1. The series of daily events dedicated to literature is held in 5 towns in 4 countries including the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia. The festival splits into two lines. One presents the literature of the country hosting it, the other reads literature of a foreign country that is the guest of honour for the given year. This annual event's guest of honour, presenting its authors to Slovak audiences in Kosice, is Spain. The series of readings will continue until August 4.
