The Slovak capital hosted a weekend long festival of literature over the past Saturday and Sunday. The Bratislava literature festival or BraK brought writers Jón Kalman Stefánsson, Martin Pollack, Jaroslav Rudiš, Jaromír 99 and Angelika Kuźniak to readers in the Slovak capital. Apart from internationally recognised authors, the festival welcomed almost 40 publishers from Slovakia and its neighbouring countries, authors's readings, workshops as well as a quality music program. The main topic of the whole event was „the land". The rich program included also an exhibition of original illustrations from the book „This is Rome" by star Czech emigrant Miroslav Šašek.
