The Zazracny oriesok or Magical hazel nut is a competition of radio stories for children. It consists listening to 12 competing radio plays and of taking part in accompanying events. There are two juries that decide on the winner. Both, the expert and the children jury, consist of 15 members. Among the festival awards, there is also the special RTVS prize for a personality that has significantly influenced the field of radio plays for children. This year, it will be handed over to actor Richard Stanke who was known as a popular child actor in 1970's and one of the top dubbing actors for more than 20 years. The festival will end by announcing the winners of the painting competition for children as part of the 90 year jubilee of radio broadcast in Slovakia.
