The 23rd edition of the film festival FEBIOFEST will start in Bratislava on March 17. The well established Czech and Slovak event has changed into the International festival of arthouse cinemas this year. The viewers can expect over 100 films in 10 sections screened within 30 days in 10 Slovak towns. The main goal of this event is to draw the attention to the local production in comparison to films made in neighbouring countries. A lot of the screenings will be in the Slovak previews. The key section is the Short films competition entitled In the heart of Europe consisting of feature and documentary films as well as cartoons from Austria and the V4 countries, i.e. the Czech republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
