The opera house of the State theatre Kosice, will premiere the opera Alcina by Georg Friedrich Händel for the first time in its history Friday, February 26. The piece is considered to be the peak of the conductor's period spent in London's Covent Garden back in 1734 - 37. The director of the Kosice premiere is Linda Keprtová. Back in 2013, she won the top Slovak award for directing a play for her debut in the Dialogues des Carmélites by French composer Francois Poulenc.
