The director Martin Kollár has shot a silent film and has recorded the success at the prestigious festival in Rotterdam. The mid-length Czech-Slovak co-production was named October 5 following the date of a serious operation the leading character undertook. Martin Kollár portrayed his elder brother that finds out the date of an operation with an unpredictable result. Brothers embark on a several months long journey on bicycles. Despite the silent character of the film, the significant photographer Martin Kollár spent this time with his brother in constant dialogue.
